Sounds interesting, to say the least !

My email is:

My name is Steve Guthrie - also a Hawkins Kearby descendent.

I had also heard that his parents were Francis Kearby and Mary Hawkins - but so much of this "folk lore" over the years seems to be strictly hearsay.

The Henry Kearby part of your posting was interesting - as his land is owned by Richard and Francis. But how do we know this is our "Francis Kearby" (father of Hawkins) - if he is, indeed, father to Hawkins.

The Mary Hawkins seems to be a great find - as I heard this many years ago. The "Hawkins" surname is found in a few later generations of this Kearby line.

As I said, please contact my email - I would love to chat or learn more of your evidences and research notes.

Steve Guthrie
