Hello Lysandra,

I am no Kercado, but one of my great great grandmothers was born Adèle de Kercado (full name : Adèle-Alexandrine-Eléonore-Prudence Le Senechal de Kercado de Kerguizec). I've read with great interest the few follow-up messages you've received. I'am afraid elsa's story of direct emigration from France to PR is a complete legend. I've been working for a few years at establishing a complete genealogy of this family. A number of its members came from Bretagne to Saint-Domingue -Haiti- in the 1740s. Some of them became very rich plantors, who went back to the King's Court, at Versailles. After the Haiti revolution, another line settled in Puerto-Rico, in the 1800's. Paul Segarra kercado mentioned a Gustavo who supposedly emigrated from France : there was one Gustave de Kercado, who was related to my own Le Sénéchal de Kercado ancestors. If you send me your address, I would send you with great pleasure the genealogical material I have -too substantial to be sent through the net-.

Hopefully, your (remote) cousin
