Brenda, did you get your information on the Kerfoot/Carter/Louthan confusion cleared up? I have a Decendency report from the Carter line that shows the connection. The only thing it doesn't show is Mary Margaret Kerfoot's parents who were: William Kerfoott and Mary Margaret Carter. From all records I have received Mary Margaret Carter was William Kerfoott's wife. Her daughter was named after her. All the children changed the spelling. He originally spelled it with
a double o, double t, and an e at the end Kerfootte on the first Land purchase papers of record.
I did not have anything after John Louthan and in your message your provided me with a clue, Thank you. Will be glad to exchange info with you.
