I am not related to this family, but have a 8 generation chart from a Joe Noland in California, who is a descendant. He has the following information:
"Samuel Kerfoot, b. 1763, VA, d. 1816, VA, married Elizabeth Chipley, b. Md. 1765."
James Kerfoot, b. ca. 1800, Frederick Co., VA, d. 1853, Estill Co., KY. Married Elizabeth (Betsy) Wallace, b. 1807, d. 1854 in Estill Co., KY." She appears to have been born in Mississippi.
"Juliann Kerfoot must have been married first to a Freeman; she was born 1825 in Madison Co., KY, married 9 March 1849 to William Obed Noland, b. 1805 in Madison Co., KY. She died after 1880 in Estill co., William died ca. 1880 in Estill Co."
"William Obed (Butler) Noland was born 25 Sept 1852 in Estill Co., KY, married about 1`875 Emily (Emma) Ramey, b 16 Oct 1856 in Montgomery Co., KY. He died 19 Oct 1890 in Montgomery Co., KY, where he is buried; she died 18 Sept 1932 in Putnam Co., IN, where she is buried."
"Robert Stanley Noland, b. 5 Jan 1879 in Montgomery Co., KY, married 2 July 1908 Edith Bell Creed, b. 17 Nov. 1886 in Powell Co., KY. He died 10 Setp 1944 in Estill Co., KY where is also buried. She died 6 March 1932 in Lexington, KY; buried in Stanton, KY."
"Joe Ellis Noland, b. 3 May 1911 in Winchester, KY."
