I'm wondering if your William Turner Esq of Warrington and mine are the same? My William was father to Maria who married William Geddes in 1811 in Chester Cathedral. Does it sound likely so far? The marriage records I've found don't show witnesses so I don't even know if WT was alive at this stage.

I haven't been able to dig up any b/d or marriage records for William but am pursuing the idea he may be the Turner of Turner and Kerfoot.

My Maria went to live in Scotland with her husband William but returned and lived in Liverpool within 15 years once she was widowed. I think she was living with a sister or aunt called Anne.

The name Turner has been the middlename of almost all male Geddes since, right up to my brother today!

Any thoughts welcome!
