My gggrandfather was Humphrey Kerins probably from the Castleisland area of County Kerry. He settled first in BelmontCounty, Ohio where he married Mary Sarsfield Greenwood, a young widow in 1856. They moved to Stuebenville, Ohio where he worked in the glass industry as did several of their children: John, James,Charles, Michael and Anna. John was my grandfather who married Catherine Reilly(Riley) in Steubenville in l884. They followed the glass industry and John lived in Anderson, Indiana and Terre Haute, Indiana in the early 1900's. He died in Terre Haute as did my Grandmother Catherine. Several of their children lived and died there: James, John,Frank,Raymond, George, Robert and Katherine. Have a number of cousins in Terre Haute today --- I live in Estes Park, Colorado. Also have a first Cousin, once removed, Michael Kerins, in a suburb of St. Louis, Mo.

Still searching for Humphrey's actual date of birth between 1834 and 1835 and place of birth in Ireland.
