Would like any information on the family of my grandmother Mary Ann Cummings born on Staten Island 28 July 1862 to Patrick Cummings (Comans) and Margaret Kerins. She had sisters Elizabeth b Dec 1853, Johanna b Jan 1855, Ellen b Feb 1860, Margaret b Oct 1864, Edmond b Jan 1867 and Catherine b 1869. Family moved to foot of Manhattan in 1870s. Sister Johanna married a Thomas Clark and had at least 8 children. I have quite a bit of information on the family but have not been able to tie down surnames and where in Ireland the ggrandparents came from. Various documents show Cummings as Comans, Comons and Commens. Likewise, Kerins is shown as Kierns, Kearns and Kirns.
