Hi John: My husband is Christopher Kernan. His family has told him the the Kernan's were from Dublin, Ireland, They left Dublin in 1860, at the time of the second potatoe famine. They arrived in New York, settling in the Port Ewen, Ulster County, New York area. All remained there for about 20 years. Half of the family remained in New England and the other half went out west. My father in law does not remember all the details his father told him unfortunately. I have some information on the family and am willing to share. Please contact me directly at:
