Owen Kiernan (1839-?)

Hi. I am looking for help in tracing my family history. I have the following information:

Owen Kiernan, born in 1839 in Ireland (probably Cavan Co., Ireland) married Harriet Beecraft (1836-1927) in 1863 in St Pauls Minnesota. They had 11 children: William (1865-1866), Charles (1866-1916), Harriet (1867-1868), Francis (1869-1888), Mary (1870-1870), Julie (1871-1872), Rose (1873-1942) [she married Thomas Wise in 1893], Mary (1875-1875), Oliver (1876-1937), George Edward (1884-1960) [see below], and Lillian (1886-1887).

As the story goes, Owen changed the spelling of Kiernan to Kernan at some point. Also, by the birth of George Edward Kernan, they had moved to Marysville, Missouri.

George Edward Kernan (1884-1960) married Maudine Elizabeth ("Lizzy") Stearns (1885-1936) [daughter of Theodore Stearns and Annie Backer] on 1 June 1903 in Portland, Oregon. They had 12 children: Curtis (1905-1915), Ernest (1907-1926) [died in the US Navy], Delmar Clair (1908-1979) [See below], Owen (1911-1979) [married Helen Potter in 1929], Florence (1913-1915), Walter (1915-1931) [family records list him as having drowned], Vernon (1916-1962) [was married to a woman named Mildred], Francis (1919-1987) [married to a Bernice Bellow or Bell from 1938-1950], Earl (1920-1979) [married Mary Jo Wilson in 1952], Lloyd (1922-1970) [married Peggy Hereford in 1943], [a baby boy who died the same day he was born in 1923], and Gloria (1925-1995) [married three different times].
George and Lizzy are both buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery, in Portland, Oregon.

Delmar Clair Kernan (1908-1979) married Maxine Davis (1912-1990s) in about 1933. Maxine was adopted by William and Mary (Williams) Davis in 1912. Her biological parents were George Benton Beeney, a Native American (Cherokee, as family history goes), and Gladys (maiden name unknown). These two divorced and Maxine was put up for adoption. We know nothing about George and little about Gladys, other than she remarried a man of the surname Foust(?).
Delmar and Maxine had two children before they divorced: William George Kernan (1934-), and Deldalyn (1935?-). I am told Maxine remarried, but I am unsure to whom. Delmar was remarried, to a woman named Pauline, who I am told was married before and had at least a son.

William George Kernan married Margaret Lapham (1936-2004), daughter of Theodore Lapham (1910-1955) and Alice Wellin (1916-1985). They had five children: Patrick (1953-1992) [he married Colleen Drachuk in 1974 and had a son named Jason in 1975; Pat and Colleen divorced soon after.], Vickie (1954) [married Keith Staneart in 1972? and had three children: Nicole, Daniel, and Lori; Vickie and Keith divorced soon after. Vickie remarried, in 2003, Horace ("Butch") Bradford], Richard (1955-1999) [was married to a Linda Hankins, but was divorced by the time of his death; he died with out issue], William Clare (1956-) [See below], and Terry (1957-) [married Kathy Harry in 1977; they had a son named Darin in the same year, and divorced soon after. Terry remarried, in 1995, a woman named Emma.
After their children were born, they moved to California.

William Clare Kernan (1956-) married Carolyn Sue Hamilton (1955-), daughter of Henry ("Lee") and Alberta (Sebok) Hamilton, in 1975. They have three children: Laura, and the twins Jerry and William.

So this is what I have. What I am looking for is any information as to Owen Kiernan's ancestory. I am also interested in knowing anything about George Benton Beeney.

Thank you,

William Kernan
