I'm looking at the Kernan forum, just for fun really. There were several Kernan families listed on Griffith's Valuation of Ireland (mid-1800s) who lived in the Tullycollive area east of Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, Ireland. They were James, Patrick and Christopher Kernan. They were neighbors of my Cromie ancestors, who lived in Tullycollive as well.
On the same Griffith's Valuation page was a Francis Kernan who lived in Tullyrahan. I have no idea of his d.o.b. or age, so don't know if this is your Francis. Patrick Sr. and Patrick Jr., Christopher and James also leased land in Tullyrahan.
I don't have any info on the Manville family though.
Hope this helps you a bit. Good luck with your research.
