Well its possible, maybe, that this John was our John b abt 1823, Ireland. But he would have been an adult when he came with his parents. Its not clear when our John married our Maggie (Margaret) but before the birth of their eldest in abt 1853 (William, my gg grandfather) in Syracuse, Onondaga Co., NY. They may have landed in Brooklyn and then went up state by 1853. He did not apply for natturalization until 1856 in Onondaga Co.
