My grandfather, Isidore Kernel {born 1887} had a brother Francoise Kernel {Frank} born 1891, and a brother Albert Kernel born pre- 1887 and a sister.They were all born in Alsas loraine France. Isidore came to Canada after WW1,Albert passed away the last day of WW1{bridge exploded}
and Frank went missing on leave.My grandfather told my dad he was probably in the U.S.A because he talked about going there.I hope this matches some of your info,I have been looking for a link between the Kernels in the States and Canada for a while now.

I look forword to your reply
