Hi, I know your last message dates 2004 but I've just read it, and I'm really glad to read about "Uncle Isidore".

My great-grandmother was Joséphine Kernel.
Her brother Isidore went to Canada after WWI.
She lived in Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines in Alsace (France).
She was born in 1890 and died in 1927.

She had several children : Joséphine ("Fine", who seems to have kept contact with the part of our family settled in Canada for some years), Jeanne, Justine, Léonie and Joseph (my grandfather).

I could give you more information, if you like. I'd be really happy to learn more about Isidore's family because our aunts often talked about "Uncle Isidore".

Best regards,
E.C. Friant
