Oh, man, we have things to share then! I live in West TN and if I find out things about the family in TN I can travel to McNairy County or Hardin County on a day trip for photos and such.

Of William H and Mary Tacker's children I only have information on Thomas and Delia. Info on Thomas' line runs to about 1900. For some of Delia's children I even have pictures.

I'll have to check with Hardin County's library and see if any info has been received. That's one of the few libraries in West TN I have not visited, so I don't know how big they are. The library in Crockett County has a small nook with a couple of file cabinets and bookshelves as their genealogy section, but the files do let you leave your family tree and see others who have been there.

Of Joshua and Susannah's children, I have info on 8 of their children's children. Five of them are men so it's hard to believe there are no male Tackers left! Most of my info not on my direct line runs out about 1900 though, simply because I didn't trace it past then. The name moves through Alabama and on into Texas, among other states.

Of the Hitchcock family, I have a line that goes back to the 1600s in England, but very little solid information. However, Joshua Tacker's grandmother, Susannah Slade, goes back to a William Slade in MD in the 1600s. I have the names of William's father and grandfather, but no real info.

If you'd like to write privately, and so we can attach files if we need to, my email is "" Hope to hear from you!
