Robert and Susannah Kerr, 1850 Jasper Co MO Census

Does anyone have any information on Robert & Susannah Kerr, shown in the 1850 Jasper Co MO Census with John (13), Thomas (12), Nancy (7), Katharine (6), and Frances (4). The census shows that Robert, Susannah, John, and Thomas are from KY, and the rest of the children are from MO.

I think Robert might be the son of Thomas Kerr, one of the four Kerr brothers (sons of Rev. James Kerr & Patience Wells) who moved to MO from KY shortly before the War of 1812. Robert L Kerr shows up in the Jasper Co MO Deed Book "A", 1849: "*Thomas Kerr wills to his beloved wife 16 slaves. At the death of both parents Susan and Robert L. Kerr will divide the slaves. Another son, John J. Kerr, gets 8 slaves; BILLY, HALY, BETSY, NATHAN, FRANKLIN, WILLIAM, MARY, and LUKE." If the Robert Kerr from the 1850 Jasper Co MO Census is the same as the Robert L. Kerr from the Jasper Co Deed Book "A", I think Susan McCune Kincaid Kerr, wife of Thomas Kerr must be Robert's step-mother rather than his mother, due to her age, and because Thomas married Susan in Pike Co, MO, while Robert was born in KY. If that's the case, I'd love to know who Robert's mother was.

Am I on the right track re: Robert's parentage? What became of Robert and Susannah Kerr and their children after 1850? Does anyone have this information?
