Does anybody have a Joseph E. Kerr?

I have been researching my family and trying to make a family tree. Everything was going along fine until I got to Joseph E. Kerr (my g-g-g-g grandfather). I could not find any helpful records on this man besides an 1850 census. When I searched I got some decent results.

After hours of comparing records I came up with a few conclusions:
1) born in Leadhills Scotland in 1804 or 1805 to John Kerr and Janet Stevenson
2) immigrated to America sometime before his marriage in Pennsylvania in 1824-1825
3) married and had all 9 children in Mahoning Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania

I do not know why, or what year he immigrated here as there are no immigration records available online. I also believe that he came alone without family.

I have seen his name come up online, but it only mentions his name and information given above.

Is there anybody in the world that knows anything about this man. Any insight or research tips would be greatly appreciated.

Here is his information:

Joseph E. Kerr
b.: Mar 7 1804 (or 1805), Leadhills, Scotland
d.: 1850-1860, Holmes County, Ohio
parents: John Kerr & Janet Stevenson
spouse: Mary, last name unknown; born 1805 on sea; married c. 1825
children: Martha, Jane, John J., George, Alexander, William, Thomas, Joseph, Holmes

Again, if anybody could provide any help whatsoever, I would greatly appreciate.
