I don't think Nathan actually served in the army just registered as his WWI Registration says he had "one eye out and weak in the other. Lists his name as Nathan Matthew Kerr, born July 20, 1877, from Adams County, Ohio.
WWII Registration has his mailing address as Rushtown, Ohio Rt.1, born in Adams County
1920 Census has him in Union, Scioto County, Ohio with his wife Minnie; Daughter, Ivy; Daughter Elizabeth; Son Walter; Daughter Eathel; Daughter arretta
1930 Census has him in Rush, Scioto County, Ohio with wife Minnie B.; Daughter, Areta McCaffrey; Grandson Jessie McCaffrey; Grandson Earl Williams
Ohio Deaths from Ancestry.com has his death as November 3, 1959; death certificate 89434.

Also on ancestry.com,Ronda Clayton has a family tree posted for him. She doesn't have his parents listed, but his wife's name as Minerva (Minnie) Bell Boldman. Also lists his children and some other descendents.

I am not related, just hope this helps.
Nancy
