Your Bridget Kerrigan Houston was one of my great grandmother's (Mary Ellen Kerrigan Hoban) sisters. My gr. gr. grandparents were Thomas and Honor (McNally) Kerrigan. They had 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls.
Mary Ellen was born Louisburgh, County Mayo, Ireland about 1860 and moved to Clinton, Mass. about 1880. I was told the entire family came to the U.S., Clinton, but my data shows they came over at different times in the 1880's.
The boys were Peter, Michael, John, Martin & Thomas. The girls were Mary Ellen, Bridget, Sarah Kerrigan Helm, Catherine Kerrigan O'Brien, & Nora Kerrigan Pyne.
I have census data on some of the siblings. (Peter became guardian of my maternal grandmother and her 2 brothers when they were orphaned in 1904 the year Mary Ellen died in Framingham, Mass.) When Mary Ellen died her obituary mentions leaving 4 brothers and 3 sisters (no names). I don't know how correct that info was for I always come across conflicting data when doing genealogy research etc.
Anyway, I have more info on this family if you would like it. Census data, obits, cemeteries, etc. You may email me direct, if you prefer, and I can arrange to mail you copies of data that I have or instruct you on where to find some of it on-line.
Waiting to hear from you. GAIL
