Carol,
Thanks for the reply. I am totally new to the Kerstetter line but not to genealogical searches. I am not possessed of those wonderful Kerstetter genes but my 5 and 2 y.o.grandsons are. Hence my interest. They are the gr.gr.gr.grandsons of Benjamin F.Kerstetter b.May 1859 He married Kate Long. Children were: Charles L. b. 1887 in Danville, PA., Adam L. b. 1891, Arthur E. b. 1895, John W. b. 1898, Arthur R. b.1899,
Ralph b.1903, Sarah b.1910, Ernest b.1910.
This family resided in Lewis Twp., Union Cty in 1900 and 1920. Charles was born in Danville, Montour Cty. I have not been able to connect this family to any earlier Kerstetter line. Any assistance in this would be most appreciated. I have been able to aquire alot of info on the Kerstetters in a short time thanks to yourself and others who readily share info. My info on a possible second Kerstetter family did come from Floyd's geealogy of Northumberland Cty.
I find it hard to believe that this author would have described on successive pages separate family lines without recognizing connections. Also I find it hard to believe that two immigrants as prolific as they were
are responsible for all those Kerstetters.
