William, I'm just beginning the research of my Kervin family tree. I contacted the Alabama Archives and was advised to contact Mr. Ed Kervin of Shelbyville, TN. (I was just in Shelbyville atttending the Walking Horse celebration!) I went through a Google search for "Ed Kervin" and was elated to discover TONS of exchanges among various members of the Kervin family. Sadly, I also discovered that your father, Mr. Ed Kervin, passed away in June. The Archives contact mentioned that your father had "pages of info" about John Franklin Kervin, my great-grandfather. John Franklin Kervin's son, John L. Kervin, was my grandfather. I especially am interested in finding out if John Franklin Kervin did serve in the Confederate military. This is much to ask, but whatever information your father might have on John Franklin Kervin, would you be so kind to send to me, either by email or snail mail? I would be more than glad to pay you for this information. I eagerly look forward to hearing from you soon.Thank you, Cecelia
