Concerning Calvin Kessinger:
I found a document on the net Form 3-389 Department of the Interior Bureau of Pension
Washington D.C. January 2, 1915, where he filled out a questionaire for his Civil War Pension...I am not researching this person, I just wanted to help anyone who is.

Date and Place of Birth August 14, 1835; Butler Co. KY.
He states that he served in Co. H 17 Ky Infantry: Valentines
He lists his post office at the time of enlistment as Cromwell, Ohio Co.KY
His wife's full name and her maiden name was Nicy Catherine Daughety. They were married Nov. 19, 1878--Looks like in Cape Burtin? (the handwriting is not very clear) Looks like residence Butler Co. KY. They were married by Rev. Jim Howard. There is supposed to be an official record of their marriage in Morgantown, Butler Co. KY. He states that he was previously married to Berthine Gilstrap on February 19, 1855 and that she died August 13, 1878.
He states that his present wife Nicy was married previously to Morgan Burden on March 19, 1872 and that he died in Ohio Co. KY on October 11, 1877 and that he was in the army.
He states that he is presently living with his current wife as of April 12, 1915.
He gives his children as Mary Ann Kasinger b. Dec 27, 1856 (disabled?), James Gravil? Kasinger b. July 16, 1858, Sarah Jane Kasinger b. Aug 29, 1860, Hiram Westerfield Kasinger b. Oct 4, 1866 (dead), Drucila Burden b. Sept 6, 1869, Jeffry Kasinger b. Jan 6, 1881, July Ann Duke b. Sept 10, 1884 and Mary Elisabeth Embry b. Jan 31, 1889
