Ruby Kessinger

I have a great uncle, Henry Clay Nickols (Nichols), born 18 April 1889 in Illinois and died 11 Feb 1920 in Illinois. Even though he was only 31, his death certificate indicates he was a widower and that he had been married to a Ruby Kessinger. I have no other information about her. Does anyone on this list know who that Ruby Kessinger might have been? The Nickols/Nichols family was living in western Illinois at the time, up and down the Mississippi, in Adams, Hancock, Henderson, and Mercer counties. Presumably, the Ruby Kessinger in question was from across the river in Iowa or just south of Iowa in northeastern Missouri. Any leads gratefully accepted.

Fred Nickols
