Kessinger, Julia A.
Services for Julia A. Kessinger, of Nokomis, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Dale Best officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday in the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Kessinger died at 4:55 p.m. Monday, February 8, 1999, in Golden Manor Nursing Home. She was 96 years old on May 6. She worked for International Shoe Company, and was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of John Dworsack. Her mother's name is unknown. She married B.V. Kessinger on December 8, 1917, in St. Louis. He died May 12, 1983. Surviving are sisters, Amelia VanTungren of DeKalb and Peg Sharp of Plymouth, Mich.; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Glenn Kessinger; sisters, Nettie Swander and Ida Hamilton; and a brother, Bill Dworsack.
