I just saw your post. Benjamin L Kessinger is the son of my ggg-grandfather, Andrew Jackson's brother Solomon Kessinger.
Besides his marriage to Maud Tabor, I know little about Benjamin, but maybe knowing some of his family will help in your search. Unfortunately I only know his father's side of the tree, so I'll start with the direct line and will add brothers, sisters, and siblings in later if you wish to continue down that branch.
Solomon Kessinger II
b. abt 1773/Pen d. 1857/KY
(m) Elizabeth Logsdon
Together they had 11 children, in which Miles Henry was a middle child. This is the grandfather of your Benjamin.
Miles Henry Kessinger
b. KY 1812 d MO
(m) Cynthia Ann (Maiden not known)
b. KY d. MO
Together they had at least 7 children, the oldest 3 born in Hart Co, KY and we belive the youngest 3 to have been born in Chistian Co, Mo. The middle child was your Benjamin's father, Solomon, and it's not clearly known to us if he was born in KY or MO.
b. KY or MO 1842 d. Christian Co, Mo
(m) Mary A. Kessinger
b. ? 1847 d. Christian Co, Mo 1932
These are the parents of your Benjamin L Kessinger. They had 4 children that we are aware of: Metta, James H., Benjamin L, and Doria B. There could be more. As you can see the infor we have on Solomon is pretty slim. I can tell you all about his older brother Andrew Jackson though if you want. haha!
I will get you information if I come accross it, and would appreciate the same if you know any of our blanks here.
I'm sorry I don't know the first thing about Maud or Mary A. I'll keep looking. A great sorce for the Christian County Kessingers is:
Prospect Cemetery is the main burial place for Kessingers there, and their records list parents, husbands and wives. There are also many obits that will help you piece together other family links as well. The Kessingers in Christian County are related to about every family in the region. Good luck and let me know if you need help with Henry Miles Kessingers line...got about all of em.
