Hiram Kessinger, Medaryville, Ind.

My grandmother was Rowena Kessinger Harper of Medaryville, Indiana, of the Hiram Kessinger line in the same area. During the 4th of July week I drove there from where I reside, in the metro D.C. area. It was my first trip back there in over 45 years.
Based on my feeble childhood memories I was able to locate my Rowena's old house (Medaryville is very small). With the help of a couple residents, I was able to locate three cemeteries with various relatives and ancestors of mine, including both my grandparents(Harper which I know virtually nothing about), Rowena's other family name (Maddox, which I know nothing about), as well as a couple Kessingers, including Hiram, who was a Civil War vet.
Prompted and inspired by that trip, I have spent some time on the net looking for information when I stumbled on this site. I have spent a few hours reading over most of the messages posted here over the last few years. I even saw a specific posting about Hiram, quoting from a book that I need to get a copy of.
All that said, I was wondering if someone could help tie my Hiram Kessinger into the several lines that obviously exist, and just as obviously can get confusing. I would be open to any and all information going back as far as anyone is willing to reveal.
I noticed there are some really knowledgable people posting on here, as well as equally willing to help others on plights such as mine.
I have also noticed noone has posted on here in awhile, so I am hoping it is still active. Before I close, I will apologize for my huge posting asking for something that could have been said in one sentence. I'm cursed. I can't say anything in a couple words.
