I have three original Cabinet Card photographs of Fish ancestors, taken in Peru (Miami Co.) IN, Rochester (Fulton Co.) IN and Knox (Starke Co.) IN - which I would like to get back to family members. All three photos were taken in about 1895. Information on C. O. Fish and family is posted separately on this board. The second and third photos are identified as “Grandma Maud’s sisters” and their families.

The photo identified as “Orah Fish Kesler” shows a man about 32-34, his wife about 23, a girl about 3, and a baby. This photo was taken in Rochester (Fulton Co.) IN. I found Ora Fish in the Indiana Marriage Collection on Ancestry, as married June 1890 Fulton Co. to Joseph A. Kessler. In 1910, I found Joseph and Ora and family living in Stark Co., IN. Joseph was age 45 and Ora was 36. One World Tree shows her as Ora L. Fish, born Feb 1872, daughter of Samuel and Susanne (Myers) Fish.

The photo of “Calista Fish Kesler” shows a family of mother about 25, a father about 30s, with children about 9, 6 and 3. I found Calista Kessler in the 1930 census for No. Judson (Starke Co.) IN, divorced, and age 59.

The 1880 census for Bloomingsburgh (Fulton Co.) IN shows Samuel R. Fish (35, and a physician) Susanna (32, with children including Calista A. (9), Ora (7, and even Maud (3).

Email me at if you are related to any of these Fish family members.
