Thank you so much for your follow up. My grandmother was Louise Christine Kessler. She left NY at a young age and ended up in Munising MI married to Warner Leroy Acker. She had two children, Norma and John. My grandfather died when I was two and most of the family moved to the Panama Canal Zone to work for the Panama Canal Co. Louise worked for several years for the navy. When she knew she only had a short time left before she would die (cancer) the DR. gave her permission to take a trip back to NY. My Aunt Norma, Uncle Neil, and little sister went with her. They returned to Panama where Louise died a short time later. I retired from DODDS and left Panama in 1999 when the military bases were returned to the Panamanian government. I would like to take a trip to see where the Kessler family used to live.
