In advance, thanks for any assistance,
I am researching my paternal ancertry. My father was Alfred Clarence ECKHART, born 3-23-1914. His parents were Clarence John ECKHART and Mabel Lavina KESTEN, born 1-26 1895. She died at age 101. Dad had a younger sister, Gladys Elizabeth born in about 1916. The family lived in GERMANTOWN, PHILADELPHIA, PA. The siblings were separated early in their childhood due to their parents divorce. Gladys was raised by a couple whose last name was LAURIE. The Laurie's were neighbors of my grandmothers parents. Mrs.LAURIE's first name was Maude. That is all the information that I know about Gladys, except that my father heard that she was an accomplished violinest by age 12. If she is alive, Gladys would be about 81. I am anxious to know if she ever married and had children and grandchildren who might want to know that there are other family members who are searching for them, and who have tried for many years to find Gladys Elizabeth ECKHART LAURIE. The only other data that I have is that my grandfather, Clarence ECKHART died in an accident while driving an ice truck, somewhere in CALIFORNIA. He had remarried and probably has descendants whom I am also trying to find. Anyone who has knowledge of any of the names listed, please contact me.
