All the Kettner/Ketners that were in Pennsylvania 1700 to late 1800s were from this Kettner line that came in 1733.
My line is also from this line. Michael Kettner to Susanna Kern/Karn, their son Andrew.
Studying the census records and other records of the time, the descendants of Johannes Kettner and Veronica were the only Kettner/Ketners in Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania records state that the Kettners that arrived on October 11, 1733 were listed as Kantner( mis-spelled) on the ship's records. Veronica's name was spelled as Feronica.
I think that my Michael Kettner was the son of Henry Adam Ketner who's will was probated 11-5-1805 in Brunswick, Berks County, Pennsylvania. It list all his 9 children, including a Michael Ketner. I haven't proven it yet, still working on that.
Andrew and his family left Clinton County, Pennsylvania in 1869 and moved to Keokuck County, Iowa. In 1871 moved to Logan township, Marshall County, Iowa, him , his family and his wife Mary Gladfelter/Glatfelter of the Glatfelter's that the town Glatfleter, Pennsylvania is named after.
Andrew and Mary lived the rest of their lives in Marshall County, Iowa. As did a number of their children and grand children.
