Information on Richard Daniel Kettner son of Andrew Kettner born in Clinton Co, Penn and Mary Glatfelder born in Penn. This Kettner family moved to Marshall Co., Iowa. Son Richard after marrying Mary Melinda Smith moved to Minnesota.
Richard born 5-17-1865 In Penn. Died by 1962. Most likely in Nevis, Hubbard Co., Minnesota. He is listed as R.D. Kettner in the Erickson Funeral Home Records 1914-1962 in Nevis. As is his wife Mary Melinda,sons Clyde W. and Bert.
Mary was born 1-25-1868 and died 4-9-1956 death record info.Book E-page 224-line 7 Hubbard Co., Minnesota.
Richard and Mary had the following children.
#1. Berdell Leroy (Bert) born 1-27-1890 In Iowa died in April 1963 in North Dakota. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Nevis, Hubbard County, Minnesota. Row 1W Lot 54
#2. Vallie G. born November 1892 Iowa. Erickson Funeral Home Records.
#3. Claude Westley born 1-28-1895 Laurens,Pocahontas Co., Iowa. Died 8-31-33 in Wadena Co., Minnesota. State file # 015749 Record # 651474. Death record index Book E page 96. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Nevis, Hubbard Co., Minnesota. Row 8W Lot 488. Headstone reads. " Vet. ND. (North Dakota) Pvt. ICL (First Class) 14 AM (Ammunition) TN (train) 14 Div. He and his brother Bert lived outside of Velda, McHenry Co, the time. He was inducted at Towner on 7-22-1918 and sent to Camp Custer, Mich. Served in the 160th Depot Brigade to 9-3-1918; Co. F, 14 Ammunition Train, discharged grade, made Private First Class 12-1-1918 at Camp Dodge, Iowa. Discharged on 2-7-1919. Erickson Funeral Records for his funeral.

#5. Cora R. (twin) born 8-12-1906 (same) Book C Page 42 Line 15. Died 12-2-1977 Moorehead, Clay Co., Minnesota. Burial Lakeview Cemetery, Nevis, Hubbard County, Minnesota. Row 1W Lot 53 next to brother Bert.
