I am still unable to email you at the address.
No, I do you know from which county in Indiana my Ketners came from.
I found Lewis (C.W.) Ketner & family in 1900 Indian Territory Oklahoma - Chickasaw Nation Township - 4 NR East Census. Lewis' place of birth was listed as Indiana and I do know that my ggrandfather (William Charles) was born in Arkansas in 1880, so it is my assumption that either the ketners made the trek to Tenn. (where Lewis' wife was born) where Lewis married then moved to Ark. and westward, where my ggrandfather died and is burried in Shamrock.
I have no idea of Lewis' parents.
My grandmother was born in Kiowa Co. Indian Territory Oklahoma May 14, 1914..Eva Imogene Ketner .
I'm not sure when they moved to the Texas panhandle, but I do know that my ggrandfather died there in 1940.
My ggrandfather was a county commissioner for Collingsworth County and his name is on a placquard at the county courthouse there in Shamrock, so it is possible that the Ketner name was sort of well known in the area. From what my grandmother has told me, the family was very hardworking and self sufficient, as she and her sister were sent to West Texas State University Womens College to finish High school since the schools in the Shamrock/ Wellington area didn't go to the 12th grade. She says that her dad got one of the first cars and she learned to drive only out of necessity. She had only one brother and 4 sisters.
I wish I could tell you more, unfortunately, I haven't come up with the connection.
If you get any further info, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again! Paula
