H. W. and Rebecca Kettering

Many years ago I bought an old and dilapidated 1868 edition of Websters Dictionary at a flea market with some handwritten notes concerning Ketterings.

As a genealogy buff myself, I thought maybe someone would be interested in what is written in the first few pages:

On the first fly-leaf in fancy copperplate 1 1/2 inches high:

"H. W. Kettering 20th June 1868 " [and apparently later in small script next to this] "H. W. Kettering written by L. C. Stauffer, Dec'd."

Below that is a glued-in piece of lined paper with handwritten text:

"H.W. Kettering Saw & heard D. L. Moody Preach at Harrisburg Dauphin County Pa. January 21st 1885 in the Skating Rink."

On the next blank leaf:

"On the first of April 1863 H. W. Kettering Rebecca Kettering and Lavina (F)orney (Now Lavina March) Moved in the Brick House Adjoining the Lutheran & Reformed Church at Union Deposit Dauphin County Penna Written November 13th 1885 H. W. Kettering"

and below that:

"John Stauffer Son of Isaac Stauffer Dec'd Commenced Building the Mill Dam at Union Deposit on the 18th of July 1887 H. W. Kettering"

Hope this is useful to someone.
