Kett variation. Immigration from Germany
Posted by: Catherine Kett Date: August 16, 2001 at 12:45:29

I'm not having any luck tracing my family tree on my father's side. I wondered if anyone could help?

My great-grandfather Kett came over from Germany just before the start of the Second World War. I don't know his name, date or place of birth nor where he died. He had a son Ron, my grandfather. Ron married Freda and they had 3 children: Andrew, David (b.1954) and Denise. My father came from the Staffordshire area I believe.

I wondered if Kett might be a variation of Kettenring? If anyone could help to confirm my suspicions or help me trace my branch of the tree I'd be very grateful.

Thank you,
Catherine
