My great-grandfather's name was Augustine Aloysius Kettren he was born October 12, 1861 in Brandenburg, Prussia (Germany). What i am wondering was Kettren possible Kettering orginally?

In the 1910 Pennsylvania Census Record for Reade Township/Cambria County, the last name was recorded as Ketron. Could this also be a variation of Kettering?

Any information on this would be great.
