I believe the documents show there are two Elizabeths. One is Elizabeth Katterman born 9 July 1774 in Berks Co., Pa.
The other Mary Elizabeth Ketterman born 20 Oct 1772.
I have no proof of where Mary Elizabeth Ketterman is born. I have seen places on the net that says in VA. I don't think that is correct.
In 1782 Daniel Ketterman is on the tax list and in 1786 a road is built from his house to the Seitz/Sites Mill Hampshire Co., VA.
George F. Ketterman born 16 Feb 1767 witnessed the will of his father-in-law in 1793 in Pendleton Co. and in 1796 he bought 240 acres near Harper's Mill.
Jacob Ketterman born 1770 bought 298 acres on Mill Creek in 1791.
Adam Stieffel Sr. is in Frederick Co., MD and in Washington Co., MD. Sometines listed as Stieffel and sometimes as Boots. He moves to VA. His son Adam Stieffel married Mary Elizabeth Ketterman 20 Oct 1788 in Hardy Co., VA. Adam Stieffel Sr. died 18 Aug 1803 in Hardy Co. this record is in the Old North Mill Creek Church records.
Adam Stieffel/Boots and Mary Elizabeth Ketterman move to Green Co., OH. as did some of George F. Ketterman's children and so did some Jacob Ketterman's children.
I believe Mary Elizabeth Ketterman is a sister to Daniel, George and Jacob. I am trying to find a document to prove this.
