DOCUMENTED IN THE SIEBMACHER'S WAPPENBUCH IT SAID THE SURNAME KETTERMAN IS OCCUPATIONAL IN ORGIN,ITS RESEARCH INDICATES THAT IT IS GERMAN MEANINIG "ONE WHO WORKED IRON"
BLACKSMITH,IRONWORKER,ECT.IT ALSO GAVE A DESCRIPTION OF THE EARLIEST RECORD OF A KETTERMAN COAT OF ARMS AS A "UPRIGHT DOUBLE HOOK WITH TWO CROSS BARS" WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT JUST LOOKS LIKE A ARROW FACING UP WITH TWO LINES GOING THROUGH THE STAFF.ITS AN OLD ALCHEMIST SYMBOL FOR IRON. DOES ANY ONE HAVE ANY OTHER KNOWN IDEAS WERE THE KETTERMAN NAME CAME FROM OR MEANS? I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR THEM.
