Hi Bronny
your posting regarding Florence Kewley certainly caught my eye...
I have a missing Florence Kewley who left the IOM at the turn of the century.. We have always thought she had come to Canada with her brothers and sisters but we could never really prove it... her name did come up in obituaries but no location as to her whereabouts....
Florence has come up a couple of times in our family as well. anyway for what its worth (and its a longshot) here is what I have on my Florence...
no birthdate, deathdate etc.
however my Florence was the daughter of William Kewley and Marie Devereau of Douglas IOM.... it seems Marie died around the turn of the last century and the rest of the family came to Canada except Edward James who moved to Runcorn in the UK (near Liverpool)
other children of William and Marie are...
John, Robert, Clara Blanche, Florence, Edward James and George..
Edward had a daughter named Florence who died in 1992 and my mothers name was Irene Florence Kewley (dau of John)
anyway if this rings true drop me a line...
