Hello Edith, I was very excited to get your reply. I am writing from Norley in Cheshire, I was born in Liverpool. My Grandmother (Elizabeth Kewley Ross) was born in Garston,Liverpool. Her parents Daniel and Jessie Ross came here from Edinburgh and were tailors.
I have only just embarked on this search. I emptied my attic of memorabilia which has been in a suitcase passed to me from my Grandmother and found all this information and photographs some of which were taken by a photographer in Edinburgh.
My daughter and I spent most of Christmas going through this and trying to make sense of the writ. All made harder, because there are a lot of Elizabeth's and Kewley's!
I would be more than happy to let you have a copy of the writ and any other information I have.

I know my Grandma and her sister Gladys came to see the house in Edinburgh about 30 years ago, they loved to come to the Tattoo. My home telephone no. is 01928 787739 if you would like to contact me. Kind regards Debbie
