I also wanted to add that Benjamin Suit's probable son, Samuel SOOT/SUIT who d.ca. 1830's in NC had land in JONES CO NC that he got from KEY/KEYS.

Samuel "SOOT" was said to be "old" in OCT 1832, land was formerly owned by Jonathan KEYS or KEY, Sr. who related to the surname of CANON.

Jonathan KEY, Sr. had moved away from NC and West to TN & was deceased before 1832.

The Jones Co. NC land was then deeded to Sam SOOT.

Jonathan KEY had a son named Solomon KEY.

Land to be sold to Jeremiah & Thos CANNON. (CANON)
