Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Family Tree DNA is offering a Holiday season promotion for both Y-DNA and mtDNA testing. The offer of 119 dollars for Y-DNA 37 marker testing likely won't be available again for awhile.

If you are of a female Kidd line, please consider locating a male cousin to represent your family line in the study.

Here is the special offer through Dec 31, 2009:

Y-DNA37 119 dollars
Y-DNA67 209 dollars
mtDNAPlus 139 dollars
SuperDNA 488 dollars

Orders for the above tests need to be placed and paid for by December 31, 2009 to use this promotional offer. You can order online at www.familytreedna.com/public/Kidd . If you order by phone, please mention the Kidd Y-DNA group to get this group promotion. Family Tree DNA's phone number is(713) 868-1438 and they are in the central time zone.

If you have any questions, or need any help in placing an order, please let either Steven Perkins or me know. I can be reached at skkidd@bellsouth.net and Steven can be reached at scperkins@gmail.com
