Kim, I'm behind on checking the message boards. Yes, I feel that they are the same family but somehow there were 2 Johns born about the same time who got put together. I have been trying to find out who the father of my John is. There was one born about 1897 that I'm going to try and check out. I think all of the Kidneys in the New York State area were related. There were also quite a few in New Jersey at the same time. James took his family to Ohio in 1814 and I don't know if any others followed him.
