My Irish g. grandfather, John Ford, born Kinsale, Co. Cork, was found, on the 1861 census, living at 115, Parliament Street, Stroud, Glos: England, along with his wife Mary, b. Queenstown Co. Cork. and their 4 year old daughter Mary Ann Ford, who was born in Newport, Wales.
Living next door to this family was a John KIELY, b. Kinsale, Co. Cork, age 30, his wife, Catherine, aged 28, b. Kinsale, Co. Cork, and their son, Thomas, aged 2, b. Stroud Glos.
John Ford, his wife, Mary, and John KIELY, and his wife Catherine, were all in the tailoring trade.
I hope this will be of some help to someone.
Jane Joy,
Scotland.
