Gale,

You may have just stated a breakthrough we have all been looking for. I knew of this Fredrich Kauffer/Kiffer in Westmoreland County, and believe him to be the brother of our Henrich Kauffer/Kifer, everyone was saying Mercer, Pa, not associating Mercer Twp. in Butler County. I have tried for years to link the Forest County Kiffer's with our Kifer's since a lot of them were from Forest County also, including my father-in-law. Saw in a census index where Enoch Kifer had at one time lived in Clarion County. I also knew that this Enoch was the son of Fredrich of Westmoreland County. Enoch and a sister (whose name eludes me at the moment, will have to go through all my papers)were also born in Westmoreland County, and were baptized at Brust Creek Reformed Luthern Church, same as all of our Henrich's children, then Fredrich disappeared from my information, and apparently wound up in Mercer Twp., Butler County. I am now wondering if Linda Dill knows about what you stated.

Thelma Kifer
