Samuel KIGER was born in Virginia. He married Susanah NIMERICK 10 Apr 1816 in Knox Co. OH. They had several children: Jacob, Elizabeth, Catherine, Benjamin, Christina, Maria, William George, Mary Jane and Orlando. His wife Susanah died 1833 in Clinton Co. OH - where Samuel had been living at the time of the 1830 & 1840 censuses. On 29 Apr 1843 in Parke Co. IN, he married the widow Mary BRYANT. They were the parents of Leroy S. KIGER. It is believed that Samuel died circa 1847 in Parke Co. IN. He may be related to Benjamin KIGER, who was also from Virginia and living in Clinton Co. OH in 1840....... as well as some of the other KIGER families who came from Virginia and were early settlers of Parke Co. IN.
