Lydia,
Thanks for the response to my quarry. Some of the information that I am seeking is the Birth, Marriage, Death dates and locations of William Kiggins and Mary O’Brien.I know (believe) that their son John Madrian Kiggins was born October 1872 some where in Ohio.
I've been able to find John Kiggins and May (Fay?), who were living in Perry Township, Buchanan County, Iowa (1900 Census Enumeration District #50 Sheet#15B, Line #82). But this is where I get stuck. I’ve been unable to find out from what part of Ohio that the “Kiggins” originated from.
I did find Patrick Danehy in the 1900 census, at the time they were living in Otter Creek Township, Jackson County, Iowa (1900 Census Roll#438 Enumeration District #63 Sheet# 2, Line # 37). Also I found that Patrick Danehy’s father Patrick had spelled his surname “Denahy” (I don’t know if his son had tried to Americanize the name by changing it to Denahy) and he was born in Ireland in 1835, and that he immigrated some time in 1860. I don’t know about his wife, her name in unknown to me right now.
