Hi,
I am still working on this but it seems John Kiggins' uncle and father were from Virginia. I have sent the forms for John Kiggins' military record and will keep you informed if it does pan out to Virginia. Probably take about a month or so. It's tough when you are pre-civil war and no one has a SS#. Luckily John was in the Union Infantry and has a Service Record. Talk to you later.
