Charles was the son of Myron A. He was b. 3 Aug 1838. His brothers were James Alonson and Joseph Whitman. His siter was Amanda Felicia. Charles m. Mahala Reed at Lowell IA. They had 4 children:
1-Myron Leroy b. Lowell IA 27 Nov. 1865; m. 2 June 1896 Eva, dau. of Oliver & Julia Pero. Myron and Eva had Ruth and Ruby.
2-William E. b. near Lowell 13 June 1880; m. 18 Dec. 1907, Grace, dau. of. Henry & Paola Conner of New London IA. Their ch.: Orville L., Glen L. and Ronald C.
3-Lovinia E. b. near Lowell 19 Dec 1867; m. July 1889 T J Hill. Their ch.: Grace Fay m. Amil Johnson and had 9 ch.; Ethel Winifred m. Loyd Phelps and had 2 ch.
4-Margaret (or Margaretta?) b. near Lowell 23 Aug 1876; m. 6 Oct 1895 W.O. Pero of New London IA. They hadIrvin E, who m. Alta Simmons; and Treva F.
The ancestry of Chrales is: Thomas (the 1635 emigrant and settler at Wethersfield CT); Sgt John; Joseph; Capt. Joseph; Solomon; Whitman; Myron A; and Charles who m. Mahal Reed
