The following is from the book "Kilbourn Family History" by George Darius Kilborn. The data in the book have almost no references to authenticating primary records, so the following needs proof; treat this information only as a "lead."

These children of Samuel and Abigail (Griswold) Kilborn had the following children:
i. James m. Sarah Stone. Children:
-Samuel m. Mindwell Buckman, and they had Adaliza (who m. William Eaton), Lenora, Henry and Cecelia
-Truman m. Elizabeth Warner, and they had 4 children, one of whom was Ida, who m. Edward Knapp
-Levi m. Ann Eliza Ketchum, and they had 2 sons.
-James m. Lucinda Blanchard, and had 2 sons, 2 daus.
-Culver m. Lucy Varnum

ii. Benjamin b. 1792, m. Ruth Bendict. Children:
-Joseph, d. age 20 years
-Virgil, b. 1830
-John, m. Louisa Haskins
-Vincent, m. Ellen --
-Newton, b. Kitley 1834, m. Susannah Dunham

iii. Truman, b. Kitley, m. Sally Johnson. Their child: -Ashael

v. Samuel, d. young

vi. Rev. Ashael G., b. Kitley 1800, m. Sophia Elmore, and they had
- Philander, b. Plum Hollow Canada West, m. Ann Lawson. They settled in Kitley
-Ira Benedict m. 1st Azuba Amanda Gaukel, m. 2nd Phebe (Titus) Potter

vii. Charles m. Olive Kilborn; they had
-Isaac Winfield

I have notes in my file that refer to a book by Thad. W. H. Leavitt, "History of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario, from 1749 to 1879", published Brockville, Ont., Recorder press, 1879, which indicates on page 117 that a Remington Kilborn, b. 1803, was the son of Abel Kilborn, b. 1726, who emigrated from Vermont to Canada about 1795, and settled in Bastard, and m. Polly Smith of Elizabethtown. In the Geo. D. Kilborn book it is stated that Abel Kilborn was the son of James and Molly Crampton, and that Abel's wife is named Mary Smith.
