Abrham Kilbourn who married Sarah Goodrich was born 1675 at Wethersfield, Connecticut Colony. He was the son of Sgt John and Sarah (Bronson) Kilbourn. Sarah was daughter Mr. John Bronson of Farmington, Connecticut Colony.
John Kilbourn was baptized Sept. 29, 1624, at Wood Ditton, Cambridgeshire, England. Sgt John was the son of Thomas and Frances (Moody) Kilbourn of Wood Ditton. Thomas Kilbourne was born 1578 and died no later than 1639 at Wethersfield.
Thomas and Frances (Moody) Kilbourn went to New England, in 1635, on the Increase, with son John and some other children. The family settled at Wethersfield, Connecticut Colony. The book “The history and antiquities of the name and family of Kilbourn (in its varied orthography)” by Payne Kenyon Kilbourne includes more on the family and ancestors.
