Kilbourne City/Wisconsin Dells

This is a kind of 'public service announcement' for KILBOURNE researchers. My RICHARDS family lived in Kilbourn (also known as Kilbourne and Kilbourne City) Wisconsin in Dane County for some time in the early 1900s. To encourage tourism, the city changed its name to Wisconsin Dells in 1931. As I recall, the city was originally named after a land developer or railroad man who actually never lived there. Just thought this tidbit might be helpful or interesting you folks. --Rose Richards
